Medical Illustrator

Duties and Responsibilities: A medical illustrator is a professional artist with specialized training and advanced education in medicine, science, art, design, visual technology, media techniques, and in theories related to communication, learning and management. Collaborating with scientists, physicians, and other content specialists, medical illustrators serve as visual translators of complex technical information to support education, medical and bio-scientific research, patient care, patient education, public relations, and marketing objectives. They transform complex information into striking images that stimulate imagination, facilitate learning, and record scientific discovery. In addition to producing such material medical illustrators often function as content developers, creative directors, consultants and administrators within the general field of bio-communication and as business owners and entrepreneurs in the marketplace.

Salary: $35,000-50,000

Education: Most medical illustrators have a Master's degree from an accredited graduate program from one of five medical schools. There are currently four accredited programs in the United States and one in Canada, each accepting 16 or fewer students per year. Accreditation is from the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). Entrance into all of these schools is very competitive

Medical Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities: Medical assistant is an Allied  health occupation who perform administrative and/or clinical tasks to support the work of physicians and other health professionals. They perform routine tasks and procedures such as measuring patients' vital signs, administering medications and injections, recording information in medical records-keeping systems, preparing and handling medical instruments and supplies, and collecting and preparing specimens of bodily fluids and tissues for laboratory testing.

Education: In most states, there are no formal educational requirements for becoming a medical assistant. Most have at least a high school diploma. Many assistants learn through on-the-job training.

No, I wouldn't like it. It doesn't look like the type of job I would want to work in.

Paul 'Bear' Bryant

Paul Bear Bryant was an American college football player and coach.  He was best known as the longtime head coach of the University of Alabama football team. During his 25-year tenure as Alabama's head coach, he amassed six national championships and thirteen conference championships. He retired in 1982. 

Industrial Hygienist

Duties and Responsibilities: Industrial hygiene is generally defined as the art and science dedicated to the anticipation, recognition, evaluation, communication and control of environmental stressors in, or arising from, the work place that may result in injury, illness, impairment, or affect the well being of workers and members of the community. These stressors are divided into the categories biological, chemical, physical, ergonomic and psychosocial. The profession of industrial hygiene uses strict and rigorous scientific methodology and often requires professional experience in determining the potential for hazard and evaluating exposures or risk in workplace and environmental studies.

Education: Students who are successful in the Industrial Hygiene program typically have undergraduate degrees in one of the sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics), or Engineering.

I wouldn't like to become because to me it doesn't look interesting. It's not my type of dream job.

Thanksgiving Break♥

During my thanksgiving break I went over to my cousins new house in San Bernandino and stayed over for about two days. It was really boring over there, it's a lonely and dry place not like over here in Los Angeles. It was also my little sisters 9th birthday during our break and we did her a party with family, friends, neighbors. It was really fun, I think that was the most exciting thing in my break that happened. In thanksgiving I stayed home and one of my aunts from my moms side came over. I also spend my thanksgiving with my bestfriend, it was not really to fun though. I went to the movies to watch the new movie The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. I liked it a lot, it was cool. When my friends and I left the movies, we raced home because we came in separate cars.

Home Health Aide

Duties and Responsibilities: Home health and personal care aides help people who are disabled, chronically ill, or cognitively impaired. They also help older adults who may need assistance. They help with activities such as bathing and dressing, and they provide services such as light housekeeping. In some states, home health aides may be able to give a client medication or check the client’s vital signs under the direction of a nurse or other healthcare practitioner.

Education: There are no formal education requirements for home health and personal care aides. Home health aides working in certified home health or hospice agencies must get formal training and pass a standardized test.

I think I would like to become a Home Health Aide because I could help people at home all the time when they need it. I’m very helpful when it comes to disable people.
